In Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, both the number of hot spring wells and the yield of hot water are the largest in Japan, fumarolic gas, hot mud, and boiling water have been gushing out for more than a thousand years, and the naturally occurring hot spring vents are called “Jigoku (Hell)”. The Umi-Jigoku in the photo is located about 5 minutes by car from GRANXIA Beppu Kannawa, and is designated as a national scenic beauty spot.
