Oita Marine Palace Aquarium “Umitamago”

Umitamago is an aquarium where you can “get along” with animals. The aquarium is one of the largest in Kyushu, with over 500 species of animals. Located along Route 10, a major highway in Eastern Kyushu, Umitamago is accessible. The aquarium is home to fascinating animals such as walruses and dolphins, and the aquarium tanks that recreate the seas of Oita, Kyushu are a sight to behold. The staff recommends the “Backyard Tour,” which allows you to see the back side of the aquarium. 20 minutes by car from GRANXIA Beppu Kannawa.
